WATG // Part 2

Tuesday, 19 May 2015

Next up these Wool & The Gang accessories. So lush! I wanted to keep them all. And apparently really easy to make. Have you heard about the WATG knitting parties? Both the chokers and clutch are the perfect beginner pieces to try out if you're new to knitting or a bit rusty (like me). More info here.

The hoop stud

Sunday, 15 March 2015

I tend to go for simple jewellery that I can wear day to night. These Jenny Sweetnam earrings have become a firm favourite recently. They're the perfect simple accessory that isn't fussy and yet makes enough of a statement to be noticed. Win!

Avida Dollars

Thursday, 19 February 2015

I'm very pleased to welcome a new style to my ZANZAN sunglasses collection- the 'Avida Dollars'. Apparently the most popular frame of the ZANZAN collection and it's no wonder. They are a great shape- just large enough to make you feel glamorous without being over the top.

And incase you didn't already know... 'Avida Dollars' was André Breton's nickname for Salvador Dali- an anagram of his name and a phonetic rendering of the French avide à dollars - "eager for dollars". You learn something new everyday.

Furry friends

Monday, 26 January 2015

Three of my favourite accessories right now are of the furry variety. The first is a pom pom by Pom Pom Poodle and is actually detachable! I paired this black one with a COS beanie. The clutch and shoes are both Whistles and were christmas presents from my husband (he did so well this year!) I have worn the shoes nearly everyday since I got them and then realised the bag was just sitting there waiting for a special occasion. This is something I am fighting against- my new statement to live by is // don't leave your best for best // How many items do you own that have only had a handful of outings? Such a shame... So with the exception of impractical heels, my best is now for any time, any day.

I took them out for a walk to my local vintage market on Vine Street to have a browse. It's such a well curated selection of antiques and vintage it's a struggle to leave without taking something home with me. Check them out - Vine Street Vintage.

Also new in (and obviously not furry) is my Whistles phone cover which I've wanted for ages and then picked up in the sale.

Moxham Muse

Friday, 12 December 2014

Last week I headed up to Hoxton for a 'Moxham Muse' photoshoot with the very talented Iris Björk. I had a great time meeting the other very lovely Moxham Muses, sipping bubbly and scoffing the most delicious mince pies I've ever tasted (made by pastry chef Mel Southerden).

I got to pick anything from the current and new collections to wear in the shots, so I chose my favourite piece- the amazing mirror polished VERITY crown (available online now) and BENE cuff (soon to be available).

Moxham x Whistles

Monday, 3 November 2014

Very excited about this exclusive collaboration between two of my favourite brands. Moxham and Whistles have teamed up to create a stunningly minimal and sophisticated jewellery collection. Clean and elegant graphic styles in a monochrome palette, the collection includes cuffs, necklaces, collars and headbands. All laser cut and powder coated in Moxham's Camberwell studio. Simply beautiful.

Available online now at whistles.

Little Liffner

Thursday, 28 August 2014

So pleased to have just discovered Little Liffner. A brand dedicated to creating beautiful bags, handmade in Italy. And without the enormous price tag that seems to be so commonplace right now.

Having had a good window shop on their website, my pick from the Fall Winter collection is this beauty - 'Wildcat'. Made from calf's leather and black Italian shearling, it's the perfect bag to accompany me through the colder months. It even has a detachable shoulder strap allowing it to double up as a clutch for the evening. It's not just this particular style that boasts such versatility. Little Liffner is a modular concept with optional add-ons which enable you to update and personalise your bag over time.

Take a look at more of the gorgeous styles here. Which one is your favourite?

Holiday ready

Wednesday, 16 July 2014

Ever since booking the flights for our holiday I've been planning outfits. Travel outfit, beach outfits, going out outfits and even the post-shower-chilling-before-going-out outfit. Obviously lots of items needed for these ensembles, not least the all important accessories. A couple of which are these 'Mizaru' sunglasses by THE coolest eyewear brand around - ZANZAN. So excited to finally own a pair. Also coming away with me is the perfect packable beach headwear - a woven visor. Everyone should own one.

The Collective / Jennifer Loiselle

Monday, 24 March 2014

A little something I've been meaning to share with you for a while is this beautiful 'Mini Clemence' necklace by Jennifer Loiselle. I actually won it at the launch of online jewellery and accessories boutique The Collective. I'm really looking forward wearing it this spring/summer as it's the perfect statement flash of colour I need for my predominantly neutral wardrobe!

More of Jennifer Loiselle's beautiful creations here, and do check out The Collective for more fantastic accessory and jewellery designers.
