Common Projects

Thursday, 22 May 2014

I fell in love with the quality and simplicity of Common Projects when I first saw their shoes in Brighton menswear store Peggs & Son. So did my husband who bought a pair and has cherished them ever since. I recently discovered via pinterest that they have a womens line and an extremely varied one at that! Plimsolls, lace ups, loafers, pumps, sandals and even heels, all in the most beautiful leathers and suedes and in a great range of colours. Whatever the style you're after and for whatever season or occasion, it would seem Common Projects have got it covered.

See much more of the range here.

Chelsea boots

Wednesday, 27 July 2011

Craving some chelsea boots... Too warm for them right now but I know I'll live in them once autumn comes round. Love the ones in COS but they've sold out of my size! Where else can I get a good pair? Suggestions please.

Fantasia fantasy

Friday, 8 July 2011

Fendi Fantasia shoes. One pair in every colour please.

On their way...

Tuesday, 17 May 2011

Love both these- Chloe metal and leather sandals, and Topshop Parasol sandals. I've ordered a pair... I leave you in suspense as to which ones!

Be mine

Surface To Air sandals. I love everything about them. There's a platform version of them here, but I prefer these... Available at Urban Outfitters.

They've arrived...

Friday, 14 January 2011

With the christmas money I was given, I had the opportunity to buy something I'd never usually be able to afford. The Acne Draw boots!!! For a week I gazed at the picture on the Acne site, as well as the steep price tag... When I finally plucked up the courage to order them they had gone into the sale! Hooray! So I had change left over- result. Needless to say I am over the moon with these little beauties. The shape, the height, the leather... I'm sure it won't be long until I'm obsessing about some other unattainable item, but for now I'm satisfied. Really.

Perfect

Monday, 3 January 2011

The Acne Vega platform pumps. In black or grey, both are beauties. I would choose black though- and wear at any opportunity.

Available from Tribeca, 21 Bond Street, Brighton.

Wanted: ACNE Draw Vintage

Friday, 22 October 2010

I think these Acne boots were made for me... They'd be just right for winter, and definitely not too high for the school run.

W30 Bumper Bootie

Saturday, 11 September 2010

I'm pretty sure I'm not alone in cringing at the name 'bumper bootie'. That aside, I really love these boots by Opening Ceremony. And when you consider that minus the platform, they're not very high at all, I think it's fair to say that these are a very practical boot (apart from the suede but we'll ignore that).

Oh Dico

Wednesday, 8 September 2010

Yet again Dico Copenhagen have me longing for their shoes... These boots are all so lovely. And all so different! Yes, I will have one pair of each please.

A few styles available to buy in the UK from Urban Outfitters.

Nina Dolcetti

Friday, 30 July 2010

Gorgeous! I have recently become a big fan of Nina Dolcetti shoes. Especially the 'Elevate' (pictured first)- so unusual. Can't wait to get my hands on a pair! The shoes are made in a small family-run factory in London from recycled leather and other ethically-sourced materials. The Autumn Winter collection (some of which shown below) will be available from September. Check out the website or facebook page for info and more images.

Minimarket wooden wedge boots

Friday, 16 July 2010

LOVE!!! So pleased with my new Minimarket boots! Can't wait to wear them out. At the moment they are sitting pride of place where I can happily gaze at them now and then... I got them from my favourite Brighton boutique Nola. So much lovely stuff in there at the moment, and still lots to be got in the sale! Drop by there if you can if you can.

And by the way, aren't the geraniums lovely? I can take no credit though- all my husband's efforts!

Bargain joy

Thursday, 15 July 2010

Oh I do love a bargain. The Kurt Geiger 'Jay' shoes were but a dream, until sale time hit and there they were... less than half the price! This silk jumpsuit is the one I wore for the wedding in the field, and is now free of stains and ready to be worn again. Hooray!

More wooden wedges...

Tuesday, 13 July 2010

Love these Joe's Jeans wedges! Alot like the Celine ones...

Celine platforms

These Celine shoes are beauties! And although the platform is huge, I think they look pretty comfortable as the incline isn't that high... I have recently bagged a pair of Kurt Geiger wooden platforms in the sale which are the nearest I'll get to these lovelies.

A spring in my step

Tuesday, 8 June 2010

With the tennis season upon us, I felt it only right to pay homage to a brand that has served me well over the last few years. Few footwear styles are timeless and versatile enough to take you through every season, year after year. For me, the Spring Court has done just that.

My first pair were a gold leather, white soled high top, and I wore them nearly every day for about a year. They are now resting after such hard work. I decided to go safe and opt for black leather for my next pair and they are proving just as versatile. A friend of mine has recently invested in a pair of the leopard print high tops and they look great with just about anything! I'm now quite taken with the pale pink ones below. I see a collection forming...

Most recently, Opening Ceremony have teamed up with the brand to create a special collaboration version of their B2 M shoe. Very nice.

A selection of Spring Court styles can be found in Brighton boutique Tribeca, 21 Bond Street.

Nerdy but nice

Friday, 4 June 2010

Nerdy fashion isn't really my style, although I'm still waiting to get some specs (with my prescription of course), but recently I've had my eye on the 2 part sandal. As much as I love the Clarks Originals version, I just don't think I could pull them off. Unlike Chloe Sevigny who just about manages to even with socks. So I've gone for it in my slightly safer, toned down way, and invested in a black leather Topshop pair. I think my inner nerd is rearing it's neglected self...

DICO Copenhagen

Just a few from a gorgeous collection of shoes by DICO Copenhagen. Lovely soft leather and colours. Saw the top ones in Urban Outfitters last week. What beauties.
